Gregory Q. Tiberend - President & CEO
Greg has more than 25 years experience counseling senior management and has developed and executed strategic corporate communications programs for both publicly traded and private companies. Greg co-founded Richard Lewis Communications, Inc. in 1989 and spent 10 years building the business and rejoined the firm in June 2005. In May 2008, Greg became president & CEO.
Prior to re-joining the firm, Greg spent three years leading the healthcare practice as Executive Vice President at The Ruth Group where he built significant revenue for the life sciences group and counseled senior management on investor communications programs.
From 1999 to 2002, Greg was a Vice President at Morgen-Walke Associates, Inc. (now FTI Consulting) where he led multiple practice areas - healthcare and business services. Early in his career, Greg was Communications Manager for American Cyanamid's International Agricultural Division where he worked on a global basis with country managers in developing and building communications programs for animal health biologics and crop protection chemicals.
Greg actively participates in programs sponsored by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and has developed speaker panels for the annual BIO CEO & Investor Conference in NYC. For many years he has reviewed applications and judged companies requesting presentation slots at the BIO Business Forum during the annual BIO International Convention.
Having developed strong relationships during his career with investment bankers, venture capitalist and journalists, Greg has counseled more than 50 companies in the areas of biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, generic pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, healthcare services and financial services. He has a strong understanding of the stories reporters are seeking and works with clients to develop appropriate key messages to best convey the message that will resonate with multiple audiences including investors and potential partners.
Greg is a 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Jason Rando - Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Jason is responsible for guiding the firm's strategic direction as well as the day-to-day management of its clients' communications and public relations programs. From media visibility to product marketing to patient and physician education, Jason works with the Tiberend team to design individualized communications programs that enable the firm's clients to direct their message to the audiences most integral to the growth of their business.
With more than 20 years industry experience, Jason has specialized in establishing and managing high-level communications programs for public and private companies in a number of industries, including healthcare (biotech, pharmaceutical, medical technology), financial services and technology. During Jason's career, his close ties with the top-tier national media have generated significant client exposure, including feature coverage in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Dow Jones, Reuters, Forbes, Fortune, Investor's Business Daily, and more than 300 executive and financial analyst interviews on CNBC.
Prior to joining Tiberend Strategic Advisors, Jason spent nine years at The Ruth Group with increasing levels of responsibility, most recently as Senior Vice President, Public Relations and Healthcare Marketing.
Jason is a 1994 graduate of Tufts University with a degree in psychology.
With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Maureen brings a wealth of knowledge to Tiberend and its investor relations practice.
As EVP and the firm's investor relations team leader, Maureen is responsible for the development and implementation of clients’ messaging, capital markets strategy, and relationship building with analysts, bankers and investors. As a former investor, Maureen is particularly adept at positioning companies to attract attention from the Street.
Prior to joining at Tiberend, Maureen spent 10 years writing sell-side research on biotechnology and healthcare services companies at Prudential, Merrill Lynch and at a boutique firm. She also spent more than four years at healthcare hedge funds, Merlin BioMed and Iguana Healthcare, where she evaluated investments in private and publicly-traded healthcare companies. Additionally, Maureen has provided marketing and strategic advisory services to companies and family offices and investment advice/buy-side analyses to funds through her consulting company, MAC Healthcare Consulting.Maureen earned her Bachelors from Columbia University School of Nursing and her MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. She has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1995.
As a veteran financial journalist, Johanna knows the value of good storytelling. At Tiberend, she uses her passion and skills to develop and execute communication strategies and media relations programs to tell stories that enhance reputations and drive business goals for life sciences companies across the development spectrum.
Prior to joining Tiberend, Johanna served as an Associate Director at Finsbury, working with Fortune 500 companies and development-stage drug makers on strategic messaging and media strategies for clinical data, annual investor meetings, product launches, crisis management, and business development. For 20 years, she reported on financial markets and covered blue-chip health care companies for Barron’s and Dow Jones Newswires, where she won two Front Page Awards from the Newswomen’s Club of New York. Her relationships include reporters with top-tier national news and financial media outlets including Barron’s, Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Reuters.
Johanna is a graduate of Rhode Island College with degrees in English Literature and Political Science.
Tirth specializes in investor relations and capital markets strategy for healthcare companies. He is responsible for strategic development of Tiberend’s broader IR capabilities, day-to-day client management, relationship building with the financial community, and IR strategy execution including customizing IR plans for clients.
Following an academic background in the life sciences, Tirth understands scientific and structural complexities within healthcare to better position companies to capture interest from investors and other stakeholder groups. With more than six years of healthcare investor communications experience, Tirth has guided private and publicly-traded healthcare (biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device/technology) companies to accomplish their capital markets goals including IPO support, fundraising strategy, scenario planning, crisis communications, and more.
Before returning to Tiberend Strategic Advisors as Vice President of Healthcare Investor Relations, Tirth was a Vice President of Investor Relations at the Edison Group. Prior to that role, he began his career in healthcare investor relations as an Account Executive at Tiberend Strategic Advisors.
Tirth holds degrees in mathematics and neuroscience from Emory University and Columbia University, respectively.
Sharen works with both private and public clients, developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations programs that encompass strategic messaging and presentation review, tactical coordination around roadshows, conferences, R&D days and special events.
Prior to joining Tiberend, Sharen was the Director of Investor Relations at ContraVir Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded company, where she developed and executed the corporate investor relations strategic program and communicated the company’s message to investors and analysts.
Sharen graduated from Baruch, Zicklin School of Business with a BBA in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Psychology.
Ingrid specializes in providing strategic communications counsel, media outreach and public relations advice that empower healthcare companies to build awareness and showcase their offerings.
With more than 12 years of healthcare journalism experience, and nearly 20 years of writing, editing and communications expertise, Ingrid has developed ties with many healthcare journalists, regulators, industry professionals and lawmakers, and will leverage this background to secure media coverage in national, business, and broadcast outlets as well as industry trade and regional publications.
For four years prior to joining Tiberend Strategic Advisors, Ingrid served as a News Analyst for Informa’s IEG Policy, a trade publication covering the food and nutritional supplements industry. In the eight years prior to that, Ingrid wrote for two publications covering the medical device industry about med tech business news, FDA policies, regulations and advisory panels and related federal and state laws.
Ingrid is a 2005 graduate of American University with a dual-major degree in Communications and Literature. Prior to that, she studied Zoology, and separately worked as a veterinary technician for 20 years.
